Great Big World

The President where I work announced on Friday he has taken a new position in Europe and when he shared his news he said “there’s a big world out there and I’m gonna go get it” and I felt my heart explode with excitement for him and then crack right now the middle because he is a very special man and I will miss having him lead the Canadian team dearly.

Waking up today I’m inspired by his words. I’m thinking about all the places I wish I could go! If the world really was my oyster…

I’d drive to New York to eat an entire cheese pizza in the back of a stretch limo.

Then take a train to Paris to sip Chocolat Spécial and people watch at Cafe de Flore.

Then trek into the groves of the Sierra Nevada mountain range to absorb the wisdom from the enormous sequoia trees.

Then helicopter high above Mauna Loa to feel the heat of its lava.

Then sail over to Belize to dive deep into the Great Blue Hole and float along the barrier reef.

Then I’d circle back home returning to my love just in time for dinner.
